Push Pull Scales

This uniquely designed spring scale (dynamometer) features a clear tube, making the inner workings visible.The elongation of the spring corresponds to a specific force, which is noted on the printed scale. Different spring scales have different spring qualities to reflect the desired maximum load. These color-coded spring scales feature both a gram and Newton scale. Unlike other spring scales, the plunger on the one end allows pushing forces to be measure as well as pulling forces. Additionally, the spring scale can be pulled back to adesired force and then released, imparting a known force to a projectile. The long top loop and the large S hook are both made from durable steel. The top plastic zero adjustment nut is easy to use. The durable acrylic tube and sturdy spring is built to last with repeated use. Overall length is 11” and diameter is 1”. Available in a variety of weight capacities and color coded for each reference. Great for physics demonstrations and experiments.
